In October 1970 Gosford City Community & Information Service had its inaugural meeting and a Management Committee was formed. In February 1971, a training course was held for our first volunteers and an office was opened in Mann Street Gosford, opening Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 4pm.
Originally we were known as Gosford Shire Community Service, and we were the first non-Government Community organisation on the Central Coast; the fifth in New South Wales.
We offer a free Financial Counselling Service at our Community Centre. The counsellor is also available to see people at Gosford and Wyong. The counsellor can help with planning a budget or dealing with creditors.
Homework groups provide a caring supportive environment for Primary School children (ages 5-12). This free service is sponsored by Gosford City Community and Information Service Ltd.
Free Tax advice for low income earners is available from July to October. Conditions apply.
Various activities are run at the centre by private organizers. At present we have Scrap booking, Martial Arts, School Holiday Science Activities & various Support Groups.
If you have an anniversary, an engagement or a wedding - in fact any kind of celebration, why not come and have a look at our facilities? We have a spacious Hall with adjoining veranda area, a well-equipped kitchen, and enough tables, chairs, crockery & cutlery for 150-180 people.

The CCCC provides advocacy and support to all community organisations on the Central Coast as the regional peak body. We work in partnership with local community organisations, NCOSS and ACOSS to ensure any gaps in community services are advocated at regional, state and national levels.
