Central Coast ARAFMI is a community based organisation offering support to family and friends of people with a mental illness through:

Individual Adult Family Support
Information and Resources
Education and Training
Advocacy and Referrals
Individual and Group Support for Children
Recreation and Leisure Programs for Consumers
Support Groups

Support groups are designed for carers over 16 to meet to share expertise and provide emotional support with each other. Held in Gosford and Wyong Shires.

Woy Woy support group. 930-1130. Held on the 2nd Monday of each month at CWA Hall ,Woy Woy.

Erina support group 10-12. Held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Erina Trust Hall, Karalta Road, Erina.

Gosford Saturday support group 10-12. Held on the 4th Saturday of each month at the ARAFMI office, Gateway Centre, Gosford.

Wyong Hospital day support group 11.30- 1.30 Held on the 4th Friday of each month in Meeting room 1, Wyong Mental Health unit, Wyong Hospital.

Wyong Hospital evening support group 3rd Thursday of each month in Meeting room 1 Wyong Mental Health unit, Wyong Hospital Time: 6-8 pm

ARAFMI provides support and advocacy for families and friends with mental illness or disorder.

If you have just discovered that a family member or friend has a mental illness or disorder you may be feeling shocked, confused and afraid. There is a solution to these feelings of despair if you know what to expect or how best to help the person you care for.

When a young person experiences psychosis, it can be a difficult time for both them and their family. However, there is much that family members can do to help their young person recover.

The CCCC provides advocacy and support to all community organisations on the Central Coast as the regional peak body.
