Know your rights

We have an upcoming 'Know Your Rights' CLSD Expo to be held on the Central Coast in September allowing the public to come along and learn about consumer rights (and how to enforce them).

Confirmed participants include the Energy and Water Ombudsman of NSW; Consumer, Trader & Tenancy Tribunal; Central Coast Community Legal Centre; Legal Aid Gosford; and the Health Care Complaints Commission, to name just a few.

If your service or business involves advocating for consumers, and you would like to be involved in this expo, please let the Amanda Howe
(amanda_howe@clc.net.au) know immediately by completing and returning the attached form (this is very easy to do!!!)

There will be no charge to participate in the expo, and it is a great way to get your service out amongst the community, advertising the services you provide.

There will be the opportunity for your service to have a stall whereby people can wonder around and talk to the different services as well as an opportunity to conduct a presentation. Depending on the interest, I suspect the time for each presentation will be between 15- 30 minutes. I will be able to confirm once I have definite numbers of the services wishing to present.

The stalls will essentially be a trestle table with any signage or other props you choose to bring along, I know some services take laptops with PowerPoint presentations etc. Please be as imaginative as you wish and let me know if there are any other requests that you need for your stall.
While I can't promise to be able to deliver on every request, Ill certainly provide you with what I can and will operate on a first in first served basis for those resources that are in limited supply.

Please email Amanda Howe (amanda_howe@clc.net.au) if you would like more information.
