Interested in Volunteering ? Know someone who might be?

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO?
WANT TO HELP PEOPLE? INTERESTED IN COPS & COURTS?

The Criminal Justice Support Network (C.J.S.N) is a program of the Intellectual Disability Rights Service (I.D.R.S)

We are seeking volunteers who are interested in supporting people with an Intellectual Disability or Acquired Brain Injury who become involved with the Police and Courts, either as a person who has been arrested, or they may be a victim or a witness to a crime.

I.D.R.S provide this service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with our clients and Police able to call a toll free number. This free service operates throughout N.S.W. with local Regional Co-Ordinators on call to take the calls to our toll free number. A volunteer is then contacted to attend a Police Station and support the client through the criminal justice process.

Or, if a client wants support at Court then a support person is available for their appearance, again if they are charged with an offence, a witness or a victim.

C.J.S.N. is seeking interested people from all walks of life who would be prepared to give their time, sometimes at the most inappropriate times if that is a Police Stations support or in the day for Court support. Full training provided.
