Expression of Interest Regarding External Supervision

The Central Coast Networks of Practice Project (CCNOP) started in 2003 after the Benevolent Society received funding through the Families First program. This program operates in both the Wyong and Gosford areas of the Central Coast and aims to promote better services for families with young children.

The project's philosophy supports prevention, a belief in shared learning and working together. A variety of strategies are used to support human services organisations and their staff who work with children aged 0-8 years and/or their families.

In 2005 we put together a register of professionals that would be interested in providing supervision to individuals and organisations across the coast.

This register has been held with the Benevolent Society and resourced when any worker was seeking professional supervision or debriefing around a particular incident.

We are currently wanting to update this register and are wanting to hear from anyone who is interested in supporting local workers in this capacity. There are several ways that you could contribute to the support of the work of child and family focussed services, including:
- being willing to have your name placed on the register;
- supporting group practice sessions;
- being available to staff on an irregular basis around particular types of events (e.g. critical incidence);
- offering supervision sessions on a regular or irregular basis

We would need to know for the register
- what costs may be involved, and/or whether your are interested in providing some services on either a free of charge basis or reduced fee.
- What your qualifications are
- Areas of experience/ expertise in staff supervision, support or practice support for workers with families or children aged 0-8years; and/or around critical incident debriefing

If you are interested, could you please complete the details in the form attached, and return it to Melissa Rologas by faxing it to 4352 4788 or emailing it to her on melissar@bensoc.org.au

Could you please forward a copy of this letter to anyone else you think may be interested in this. For further information, or to discuss any related issue, contact Sue Winter on 4353 4688.

Yours Sincerely,

Sue Winter
