ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: The Work Shop will be aimed at helping those who work with young children. It will be a practical time spent looking at the following:

- How to spot common signs that all is not well with a child
- How can we support young children understand and cope with their feelings.
- What are the most common questions kids ask? How can we answer them?
- What do you as a worker need to know from the parents regarding care arrangements etc?.
- The importance of Positive Parental Attention.
- Social and emotional coaching skills to help children explain their feelings.
- Tips to support workers and parents

ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Laura Kiln is the founder and owner of Stamp Out, aimed at helping parents and children cope with behavioural, emotional and school difficulties. Laura has more than 20 years experience in working with children and their families, and is recognised internationally as an expert in the field of parenting. Laura lives and works on the NSW Central Coast after moving to Australia from the UK, where she worked in London at the Institute of Psychiatry and the National Specialist Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Anybody working with young children.
