Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence of Persons with a Disability
The workshop is designed to address the issues confronted by workers when a client with a disability has been subjected to an event or suspected event of domestic violence or sexual assault.
Workshop objectives are to;
- Protect vulnerable people in residential and institutional care settings from sexual assault;
- Raise the awareness of issues of sexual abuse of people including children and adolescents with a disability in residential and institutional care;
- Ensure appropriate and sensitive responses to sexual assault and/or domestic violence if it occurs
