Do you care for someone with a mental illness?
Do you live in Northern Sydney or the Central Coast?
A 2 day course that discusses the impact of mental illness on communication, and is designed to improve verbal and non verbal communication skills.
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other Carers.
Communication for Carers Training covers:
. Communication styles and components of communication
. Communication partners, Goals of communication and the impact of mental illness on communication
. Empathic communication; Active listening skills
. Appropriate Boundary setting & managing conflict
All courses are free to families and carers of people with a mental illness.
A registration process applies for catering purposes, closing 1st Feb 2012.
