The University of Newcastle is pleased to invite you to the ArtsHealth Lecture for 2010 presented by Esther Sternberg from the US National Institute of Mental Health. Dr Esther Sternberg is internationally recognised for her discoveries in brain-immune interactions and the effects of the brain's stress response on health: the science of the mind-body interaction.

Join Dr Esther Sternberg as she draws on accessible science to explore the current state of knowledge about how both natural places and built environments can influence our health and healing, and points to possibilities for designing hospitals, communities and cities that promote wellbeing. Copies of Dr Sternbergs's latest book 'Healing Spaces' will be available for purchase and signing at the lecture.
